Michael runs Jim's Test and Tag across Melbourne South East and hits 11 years this October. He started at 50. He wanted out of corporate life and more time with his young kids.
In this video he explains how a test and tag franchise works day to day. You set your own prices and your own schedule. Training runs 10 days, with 2.5 days of generic induction at Mooroolbark and 7.5 days of test and tag training.
Fees are mostly fixed. The only variable cost is a one-off lead fee, and repeat calls from the same customer cost you nothing.
Michael also covers fire safety, a growing add-on service with a 5-day course. B2B leads come in at lower volume than mowing but higher value. One lead from RMIT was worth around $50,000.
